Social Science Research Committee terms of reference
- Attendance of a maximum of two meetings a year.
- Advising SANParks Social Science Research of how to transform the SANParks research landscape
- Support SANParks in setting benchmarks for best practice in Social Science Research in Parks.
- Assist and advise SANParks in partnering with tertiary institutions to promote research in Parks and open up research opportunities for students.
- Advise on collaborative research fund raising for research areas of mutual benefit
- Provide guidance in setting up research priorities and fundraising linkages for them
- Peer review of research reports and guidance to researchers
- Reviews and strategic guidance of SANParks research process
- The committee members will serve on the committee for a period of three years.
